Metrics Insider – Follow up post

Posted by widgetgirl on December 11, 2007

A few weeks ago a I wrote a comment in response to David Smith’s column that ran in the Metrics Insider email newsletter. After follow up discussion with the IAB, WAA and the Metrics Insider staff, I was asked to write a follow up article to the same subscriber base. The article is very similar to my post from a few weeks ago, but I am posting the link to the article for those of you who want to read the revised version.

The column has generated many personal emails and phone calls from WAA and IAB members. A lot of folks knew that the standards groups were working with each other, but no PR was happening to make it a known fact. Point taken. You’ll be seeing a lot more press in the future as we work together to clarify any overlapping terms or definitions. We are working right now to generate a list to ensure that we are consistent – if modifications are needed, we’ll do it.

Cheers! Jodi
